Mental Rehabilitation Centre presented itself at a prestigious conference in Mikulov

The Centre for Mental Rehabilitation, together with the Mindwell digital platform, participated in the fifth annual professional conference entitled Treatment in Psychiatry, which took place last week in the South Moravian town of Mikulov. The conference was subtitled "Interdisciplinary Cooperation" and was organized by the Psychiatric Society of the Czech Psychiatric Association in cooperation with the Czech Psychiatric Society z.s. AKESO Holding was a silver partner of the event.

Leading experts of the Centre for Mental Rehabilitation, such as Matěj Kasal, M.D., spoke at the conference about some case studies from the life of the acute admission of the Centre for Mental Rehabilitation Beroun. MUDr. Martin Hollý, MBA explained the differences in the international classification of 10 and 11 diseases in the field of sexology and the topic of transferring an adolescent patient to the care of an adult psychiatrist was developed in her lecture by child psychiatrist MUDr. Petra Uhlíková.

A team of experts from the Beroun hospital during their separate session introduced the audience to the topic entitled Movement and Mind: New Horizons in Psychiatry. In it, they described topics such as Neurocognitive training using modern technologies: innovative approaches to rehabilitation of cognitive functions in patients with mental illness, controlled and uncontrolled physical activity in psychiatric treatment, neurostimulation methods in neuropsychiatric indication and Momentum in inpatient psychiatry. Speakers included experts such as Mgr. Jakub Pětioký, DiS., Mgr. Daniel Jurák for Rehabilitation and Movement Therapy and David Pánek, MD, Ph.D. together with Martin Hollý, MBA, whose specialties are neurology, psychosomatics, psychiatry and sexology.

Mindwell Symposium under the leadership of Prof. Jan Prasek, M.D., CSc. focused on the effectiveness of online CBT in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders.

The conference traditionally focused on sharing new knowledge in the field of treatment, and in recent years, changes in processes related to the provision of care in this field. However, this year's event also showcased practices in interdisciplinary collaboration, such as with the emergency services, or the intersections of this field with other specialties such as neurology, rehabilitation, gastroenterology, cardiology, and others.
